I am a firm believer that you do something because it is the right thing to do. You cannot let others interfere when you are doing what is best for you or your company. As an entrepreneur, you know that some people will absolutely love your product. There will be some who disagree. There will even be times when competitors will be at the same event or vying for the same client. This is all okay. That’s a part of life.

Please do not let others stop your progress. I encourage you to stand up for your products/services and your beliefs. I recently had to utilize this piece of advice. Upholding my principles was more important than participating in an event. I love this quote from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must take it because conscience tells him its right.”

Make the decisions that support your brand. Make the decisions that will make others (even the haters) want your product or service. Most importantly, make the decisions that will make you happy to look at yourself in the mirror daily.
